  23. Not as advertised but I have yet to see a PC system sold out of a clone
  24. shop that didn't "include" MS Office.  Many of the clone dealers do
  25. advertise MS Office or other packages as included and you'll still be
  26. under $1000.  Heck there are Pentium systems at the $1000 price point
  27. sans monitor and a PC doesn't need those rare & expensive monitors that
  28. scan down to 15khz.

  30. Actually, I'd want 16MB or more for a PC pig but another $55 would get you
  31. another 4MB on that base PC system and with 8MB total you can get by.  It's
  32. not like the A1200 with a pitiful 2MB of chip is blazing fast.

  34. The simple truth is that an A1200 w/HD and monitor is in the same price
  35. range as a basic, yet functional, 486 system that has better graphics,
  36. sound, expandibility and a considerably more powerful CPU.  The only thing
  37. the A1200 has going for it is the OS and a few standout applications.

  39. I understand the circumstances that forced Amiga Tech to put the A1200 (and
  40. the A4000T) at its current price level but that doesn't change the reality
  41. that the Amigas are a hard sell at these prices.
